Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, storage rooms, and back-of-house facilities Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring clean equipment is always available Dispose of garbage and kitchen waste according to hygiene standards
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to procedures Assist with setup and cleaning during banquets, events, and busy operations Monitor and report damaged equipment or maintenance issues
Requirements
- Previous experience in stewarding, cleaning, kitchen operations, or hospitality is preferred Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards Ability to operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy kitchen items Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment Good teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to cleanliness and detail Ability to follow safety procedures and handling instructions for cleaning chemicals Positive attitude and willingness to support kitchen operations
