Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a luxurious first impression.
  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with their seating arrangements.
  • Manage table reservations and walk-ins, optimizing seating capacity.
  • Personalize guest interactions by remembering preferences and special requests.
  • Assist in providing menu recommendations and explaining signature dishes or specials.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism.
  • Maintain and manage the restaurant’s reservation system, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Communicate guest preferences and VIP arrivals to the restaurant team.
  • Work closely with the service team to ensure timely table turnover and seamless service.
  • Ensure the reception area is impeccably clean and presentable at all times.
  • Oversee restaurant ambiance, including lighting, music, and overall guest comfort.
  • Ensure menus, promotional materials, and décor align with luxury branding.
  • Liaise with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow.
  • Assist with special events, private dining, or VIP experiences.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings, promotions, and special menus to inform guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing role within a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms, Resy) is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide a warm, welcoming, and engaging guest experience.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance, adhering to luxury hospitality standards.
  • Customer service excellence, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
  • Multitasking abilities, managing reservations, walk-ins, and guest inquiries efficiently.
  • Team collaboration, working closely with servers, bartenders, and managers.
  • Basic knowledge of fine dining etiquette, food, and beverages to assist guests.
