Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a luxurious first impression.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with their seating arrangements.
- Manage table reservations and walk-ins, optimizing seating capacity.
- Personalize guest interactions by remembering preferences and special requests.
- Assist in providing menu recommendations and explaining signature dishes or specials.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism.
- Maintain and manage the restaurant’s reservation system, ensuring smooth operations.
- Communicate guest preferences and VIP arrivals to the restaurant team.
- Work closely with the service team to ensure timely table turnover and seamless service.
- Ensure the reception area is impeccably clean and presentable at all times.
- Oversee restaurant ambiance, including lighting, music, and overall guest comfort.
- Ensure menus, promotional materials, and décor align with luxury branding.
- Liaise with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow.
- Assist with special events, private dining, or VIP experiences.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings, promotions, and special menus to inform guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing role within a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
- Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms, Resy) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide a warm, welcoming, and engaging guest experience.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance, adhering to luxury hospitality standards.
- Customer service excellence, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
- Multitasking abilities, managing reservations, walk-ins, and guest inquiries efficiently.
