Responsibilities
- "Greet and Welcome Guests – Provide a warm and friendly greeting to guests upon arrival. Escort Guests to Tables – Guide guests to their assigned seats, ensuring their comfort. Manage Reservations – Handle bookings via phone, email, or in-person inquiries.
- Maintain Seating Chart – Keep an updated record of available tables and waitlist status. Coordinate with Staff – Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Monitor Wait Times – Inform guests about estimated waiting times and manage expectations.
- Assist with Special Requests – Accommodate seating preferences, accessibility needs, and special occasions. Ensure Cleanliness – Keep the reception area, menus, and waiting areas tidy and organized. Handle Guest Complaints – Address issues professionally and escalate concerns to the manager if needed."
Requirements
- English pre-intermediate and higher. Work experience at least 2 years. Team player. Sociable.
- Previous experience as a hostess. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Basic knowledge of reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Friendly and welcoming personality. Professional appearance and good hygiene. Comfortable using phones, computers, or tablets for reservations. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus, especially in multicultural or tourist-heavy areas).
