Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef and kitchen team in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards. Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meat, and other ingredients. Support the preparation of hot and cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and bar menu items.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling dishes under the supervision of the Head Chef or Chef de Partie. Prepare simple menu items such as sandwiches, snacks, salads, and bar food.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation during the shift. Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Work closely with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Support colleagues during busy service periods. Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and participate in daily kitchen briefings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment (hotel, restaurant, bar, or café) is preferred. Experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Commis Chef, Line Cook Assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
  • Culinary education or vocational training in cooking/hospitality is preferred. Culinary school diploma or professional cooking courses are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
  • asic English required for communication with chefs and team members. Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen workflow. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and plating guidelines accurately.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills. High level of responsibility, discipline, and reliability. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
